SWEET POTATOES CHIPS
How to prepare sweet potatoes chips
Ingredients:
Sweet potatoes
- Olive oil or high oleic sunflower oil
- Salt
Preparation:
- Wash and peel the sweet potatoes.
- Cut them into thin strips.
- In a pan, put the oil to heat.
- When the oil is hot, toss the sweet potatoes. We must prevent the oil begins to smoke.
- Prepare a plate with paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve as a starter or accompaniment.
A trick: for the chips to be “puffy”, the secret is to cut them very thin and immerse them in ice water. Drain well before frying and pour them into the boiling oil, being careful not to splash.
