Properties of cowslip leaves
This is a delicious and natural entrée for lunch or dinner.
Although it is not recommended to take fried food too often, this is a different presentation to take an edible wild plant.
It is recommended to take advantage of all the medicinal properties of cowslip. It can be consumed in infusion, boiled or raw. The high frying temperatures destroy all its therapeutic components.
Cowslip leaves recipe
Ingredients:
- Cowslip leaves (Primula veris ., Primula officinalis)
- Flour
- Water
- Olive oil or high oleic sunflower oil
- Salt
Elaboration:
- Wash the leaves of the plant well. Ensure that they have been collected at a site free of pesticides and contaminants.
- Mix 1 part of flour with a little water until a thick liquid remains.
- Put oil to heat.
- Batter each leaf and fry when the oil is hot.
- It is not convenient for the oil to smoke, since it indicates that it is getting too hot and all the property of that oil is lost.
