Salvia pratensis L. – (Meadow clary)

Perennial herb of the Mint family -Labiatae- up to 1 m.tall. Erect, hairy stems, glandular. Leaves generally basal, toothed or lobed, wrinkled. The upper leaves scarce and unstalked. Blue-purple flowers in loose spikes, seldom white. Corolla 3 cm with curved upper lip, glandular calyx and very long style. In grasslands and by the side of the roads.
