When wormwood should not be used

Absinthe plant, used in adequate doses, does not present contraindications except in lactating and pregnant women whose use is prohibited.

Some sensitive people may experience adverse skin reactions when they come in contact with its leaves or flowers.

Like many plants of the composite family, wormwood flowers may be responsible for respiratory allergies, so it should not be taken when the person has some kind of allergy to other plants in the same family such as chamomile or yarrow.

Wormwood plant should be kept away from cows, sheep or goats since the animals that eat this plant produce bitter milk.
