Side effects of verbena
– Contact dermatitis with the plant.
– Metrorrhagia: the plant has oxytocic effect and may cause increased vaginal bleeding. It is contraindicated in women with heavy menstrual cycles.
– In high doses can be emetic plant.

Verbena in pregnancy
– Pregnancy: Verbena has been for years a plant to accelerate labor and delivery, and should not be taken during pregnancy. It can cause abortion because of its oxytocic effect or uterine stimulant.
