How to treat oily hair with essential oils?
A too high production of the sebaceous glands of the scalp determines that the hair is greasy.
A diet that is too rich in fat is the main cause of this hair anomaly, although other factors may also be responsible, such as the lack of certain vitamins or certain practices that are not very convenient for the hair, such as too frequent washing and, above all, with unsuitable shampoos.
Greasy hair is not showy hair. In addition, the excess of oil in the hair together with the presence of dandruff can stop its growth or favor its fall.
Seborrhea often occurs because the washing conditions remove the natural oil layer from the scalp, which reacts with an overproduction by the sebaceous glands that floods the hair and makes it greasy.
Essential oils are very suitable for treating oily hair. In its composition they contain a series of principles that are capable of restoring the normal conditions of the hair, eliminating or preventing seborrhea.
How are essential oils used for seborrhea?
We can apply:
- A lotion for oily hair
- A shampoo for oily hair
The ideal is to apply the lotion, cover the head so that it acts on the scalp and, later, wash with the anti-grease shampoo.
