Is common linden toxic?

Common linden has not unwanted side effects. It has sedative properties, and it is mainly used for the treatment of nervousness, as upset stomach, insomnia, tachycardia and stress.
- Contact dermatitis can appear because of contact with leaves, flowers or fruit from the fresh plant, although it is a rare side effect in this plant.
- Allergy: Some people may be allergic to lime.
- Hypotension: common linden bark and high doses of linden flowers can produce hypotension.
Linden and pregnancy
Common linden consumption is not recommended during pregnancy.
Its safety has not been tested and may have side effects.
Common linden is contraindicated in pregnancy unless specifically prescription and under medical supervision.
