What is a strawberry cure?
It’s a diet in which strawberries are accompanied with other natural foods that are should be taken in moderate amounts to complement the nutritional properties of this fruit.
Strawberry cure diet is a diet widely used within the so-called spring diets, since strawberries are one of the most prominent spring cleansing fruits.
Benefits and properties of the strawberry cure
It is one of the diets with the most outstanding cleansing properties.
The strawberry diet is highly indicated in the prevention and treatment of numerous metabolic or degenerative diseases, in which the purification of the body will be very effective: Hypertension, cholesterol, obesity, fluid retention, gout, arthritis, kidney stones (except those formed by oxalates), gallstones, cancer, etc.
It is also a diet to lose weight, in which you can lose a few kilos without being too hungry and without being easily recovered later by a rebound effect.
Who can perform the strawberry cure? Contraindications
This strawberry cure is recommended for anyone who is not sick. Anyone who has a disease should first consult with the doctor.
It is not recommended for people allergic to strawberries, to which this fruit tends to cause hives. It’s also not recommended for people with an intolerance to salicylic acid (aspirin or similar). It is also not recommended in people with colitis, ulcerative colitis, and similar intestinal diseases.
People with kidney stones due to oxalates should not eat this fruit, since it is rich in oxalic acid, which could help their formation or worsen their health.
How to perform the strawberry monodiet?
This diet can be carried out for a week in case the person does not present any health problem that prevents it.
Here are a series of menus that can be used over 7 days. They are based on the use of strawberry as the main food accompanied by smaller amounts of foods such as yogurt tofu, fruit juices, whole wheat bread, infusions with diuretic plants, wheat bran, wheat germ, etc.

Supper | 500 g of strawberries with a yogurt. An apple. An infusion of a teaspoon of chamomile in a cup of water, sweetened with a tablespoon of honey or whole sugar. |
TUESDAY | |
Before breakfast | The juice of a lemon squeezed in a glass of warm water. |
Breakfast | 250 g of strawberries and a glass of orange juice, with a tablespoon of wheat germ. |
Midmorning | A glass of fruit juice (grape, pineapple, apple and orange) |
Dinner | 400 g of strawberries with a yogurt (See top photo). A slice of wholemeal bread spread with vegetable pate. An infusion of a teaspoon of dried dandelion in a cup of water, sweetened with a tablespoon of honey or whole sugar. |
Afternoon snack | 200 g of cherries, or apricots or medlars. |
Supper | 500 g of strawberries with a yogurt. A baked apple with a tablespoon of cream. Infusion of a teaspoon of chamomile in a cup of water, sweetened with a tablespoon of honey or whole sugar. |
WEDNESDAY | |
Before breakfast | The juice of a lemon squeezed in a glass of warm water. |
Breakfast | 250 g of strawberries and a glass of orange juice, with a tablespoon of wheat germ. |
Midmorning | A glass of fruit juice (grape, pineapple, apple and orange) |
Dinner | 350 g of strawberries with 100 g of tofu. Slice of whole wheat bread smeared with tomato and garlic. Infusion of a teaspoon of dried dandelion in a cup of water, sweetened with a tablespoon of honey or whole sugar. |
Afternoon snack | 200 g of cherries dipped in strawberry juice. |
Supper | 350 g of strawberries with a yogurt. A baked apple. Infusion of a teaspoon of nettle in a cup of water, sweetened with a tablespoon of honey or brown sugar. |
