Recommended foods for the heart
The following table lists some foods we should eat regularly to maintain or improve heart health:

Carrot | Powerful antioxidant, a source of beta carotene, prevents cardiovascular disease. Neutralizes the negative effects of tobacco in the heart. |

Artichokes | Decreases cholesterol and triglycerides in blood. |
Pumpkins | They have antioxidant properties that prevent cardiac diseases. |
Beets | Because of their content in folate it prevents cardiac diseases |
Soybean, beans, string beans, lentils and other legumes | Because of their content in fiber and phytoestrogens, legumes provide circulation to reduce bad cholesterol (LDL) and raise “good.” (HDL). Thins the blood and prevents thrombosis. |
Nuts | Oils from the fruit of walnut help improve circulation and prevent arteriosclerosis. Linoleic acid content reduces cholesterol, lowers blood pressure and prevents the formation of thrombi. |
