Feeding is the set of foods that we eat throughout the day, the week, the month, etc. Depending on the food we eat, we can have a good or bad diet.
There are many types of healthy diets. What characterizes them all is that they exclude junk food.
What is a healthy diet?
A healthy diet must have food from the following 5 food groups:
- Cereals and pulses: Rice, pasta, bread, potato, sweet potato, cassava, peas, chickpeas, lentils, etc.
- Vegetables: Lettuce, tomato, green beans, carrots, etc.
- Fruits: orange, banana, strawberry, pineapple, pear, apple, melon, etc.
- Dairy products: Milk, cheese, yogurt, kefir, etc. (without sweetening)
- Eggs, fish, shellfish, meat
- Food with healthy fats: oily fish, nuts (not fried), virgin oil, etc.
What foods should we eat at each meal?
- Breakfast and mid-morning: Cereal + dairy + fruit
- Lunch: Cereal, tuber or vegetable + vegetable + protein (animal or vegetable) + dessert (dairy or fruit)
- Snack: Cereal + dairy + fruit, or only 2 of the 3 options.
- Dinner: Cereal + vegetable + protein (animal or vegetable) + dessert (dairy or fruit)
