How to prevent thrombosis with food?
Adequate nutrition may be able to prevent thrombus formation and prevent many accidents caused by vascular thrombosis.
SUITABLE FOOD FOR THROMBOSIS
The right foods to prevent thrombosis are those that prevent clots from forming or help them dissolve.
Among all, we can mention the following:
– Vegetables, such as peppers, garlic, onions.
– Spices: ginger, cayenne pepper, paprika, black pepper and other hot peppers.
– Fruit in general and some nuts like almonds, pecans or peanuts.
– Oily fish (trout, sardines, mackerel, tuna, etc), fish oil, sunflower seed oil, sesame oil, soybean oil or hazelnut oil.
– Foods rich in fiber to lower cholesterol and control constipation that may be responsible for the development of circulatory problems such as varicose veins or hemorrhoids.
NON SUITABLE FOOD FOR THROMBOSIS
We must include those foods that promote blood clotting:
– Foods high in vitamin K. This vitamin helps blood to thicken.
– Foods high in sodium: They hurt general circulation.
– Foods high in saturated fat. They are responsible for the appearance of cholesterol, a factor which can promote blood clots.
