HOW TO GROW GARDEN NASTURTIUM

	Perennial plant in the native place; cultivated as annual in less hot climates. Crawling stems, climbing sometimes which spread around the center. Round leaves, highly divided, with a strong venation and with the petiolated in the center. Tubular flowers, open at the tip, trumpet- shaped. Five petals, ending in a long spur. Superior lip bilobed; inferior one, trilobed. The flowers present a wide range of colors, from bright red to cream or yellow. It blooms from summer to the end of autumn.
	We must water it frequently, although it must never be soaked. Soil should always keep a certain degree of humidity.
	As a terrace plant or in verandas in sunny places. It can be used to make garden flower beds.
	Sun or demi-shade
	In spring from seeds, cuttings or by means of its tuberous roots.
	It prefers a well drained soil, although it must keeps some humidity. A garden peaty soil with sand will be a good one.
	Plant containing poisonous elements. Sometimes used as herbal medicine.
