Characteristics of the type of cropland
How many types of soil are there?
Knowing the type of soil we have to make our own vegetable garden or garden will allow us to be successful and produce more fruit from our vegetable and fruit tree crops.
A study of soil characteristics allows us to classify them into different types. The main ones are:
- Clay soil
- Silty soil
- Sandy soil
- Marly soil
- Chalky soil
- Marshy soil
What are the different types of soil?
Clay soils
They are composed mainly of clay. Clay is mainly made up of hydrated aluminium silicate.
Silty soils
These are soils that contain a very high proportion of silt. It is a very compact type of soil, without being as compact as clay soil.
